The project introduces 7 hills covered by real grass and 10km of lights, creating a series of meeting spaces between them. The proposal is much more that a simple Christmas illumination: by reflecting on the role of the square as a gathering space, the installation dialogues with the urban fabric and creates new areas of interaction and events.
The hills, made with hay bales, compost bags and welded meshes are covered with real grass and real plants, creating a new microclimate in the inside. When the installation has been dismantled, all the materials have been recuperated and reused.
The result is a spectacle of lights and activities that let visitors of every age live Christmas time gathering with their neighbours in the wonderful Piazza del Popolo of San Severino Marche.
